I stayed home with my children for 14 years and home schooled them until they went to high school. Years ago I worked as a head teacher at a daycare and I have been working as a nanny for eight years. In addition, I worked as a breastfeeding peer counselor. I love animals and at one time I owned my own pet sitting business. I love to hike, kayak, read, travel and cook. I am extremely reliable and flexible. I have known Carissa for well over three years now and I can vouch that she is one of the most upstanding and amazing people I have ever known. She is generous, dependable, honest and one of the nicest people you'll ever meet. She is also an outstanding caregiver after raising (and home schooling!) three well-rounded boys--virtually alone while being a military mom. She has also taken care of cats and dogs her whole life and used to run a pet-sitting service in Virginia. Caring and nurturing are in her DNA as she will expose your kids to books, nature, and positivism. Carissa is also a brilliant photographer and published writer.
