Hello out there! I am Carissa, and I am ready to help relieve your stress by being your nanny. I am 41 years old, a recent graduate from UC Davis holding a BA in Psychology with a focus in Pediatrics. I am currently attending Grad school for my MSW at Sac State specializing in the child sector. The last two families I worked with had infants ranging from newborn - 9 months. I was with my last family for 8 months, and began caring for their infant at age 1 month adjusted. Due to my academic understanding of children, and being a mother myself, I understand children's communication, needs, and the importance of their social emotional and physical development. I am currently on a break between semesters and have PT/occasional avail. Please reach out as the calendar is not always correct.

Carissa was a wonderful nanny for our newborn daughter: loving, careful, and attentive. She built trust with us quickly, brought a warm and friendly demeanor to work each day, and went above and beyond all of our expectations. All of us, parents and baby, benefitted greatly from her personal and academic expertise in childcare and her ability to meet the developmental needs and interests best suited to our daughter at various early infant developmental stages. She is an excellent communicator, exceptional caregiver, and just a great person. Activities included outdoor time, nanny and me time that was productive and fun, age appropriate socializing, speech and motor skill developmental play, lots of singing, and maybe most importantly plenty of room for loose unstructured play. Any family would be beyond lucky to have Carissa as a caretaker and we could not recommend her more highly. It takes a village to raise a child and we could not have been more fortunate to count her as a part of ours. We miss you!
