About Cara

Fostering a child's growth and development is my true passion, and I am dedicated to providing thoughtful, nurturing care. I am a certified Waldorf teacher with experience teaching grades 1-3. My background also includes residential special education, supporting children with special needs and complex behavioral challenges, as well as caring for newborns through preschool-aged children in a trauma-informed setting. I believe children thrive when they feel safe, respected, heard, and genuinely cared for. My approach is patient, compassionate, playful, and rooted in Waldorf principles, honoring each child's developmental journey while nurturing imagination, creativity, independence, and connection to nature. I value rhythm, consistency, meaningful play, outdoor exploration, stories, art, and hands-on experiences. I am CPR and First Aid certified and state fingerprinted, and I strive to be a trustworthy, responsible presence in your home.
