Most of the families I've worked with have kept me on for years, and I've had the joy of watching their little ones grow from newborns into big kids heading off to school. I build strong, trusting relationships with both the children and the parents, and I really become part of the family. Whether I'm rocking a baby to sleep, helping a toddler through big feelings, or cheering a preschooler on at soccer practice, I show up with consistency, patience, and care. I try to meet each child where they are-whether that means getting messy baking in the kitchen, building with magna-tiles, or navigating nap transitions-with a balance of structure and flexibility. Ms Candice came to my family in 2/2014 when my children were 2 and 4 years old; finished her time with us 3+ years later. She filled many rolls over her time with my family; caregiver, nanny, mentor, manager to children's activities, and cook! Her cooking skills are second to none! And, should open a bakery! I am a single dad and she took my children in as if they were her own. She taught them manners, integrity, personal pride, accountability, and a gave them a high sense of honor. MC comes from a large family of her own, that holds the above values close to heart. Candice left working for my family M-F, however, she is still a large part of my family. She continues her connection with the kids, by: mail, phone calls, special events out. I would highly recommend Candice for any position: she is dependable, open-minded, out-spoken, and flexible.
