About Caleb Hinckley

Helping students succeed is what I am all about. In my 6 years of working in schools, I have loved getting to teach students and show them how to develop a growth mindset. When we make a mistake, it's okay. Making mistakes is one of the best ways to learn. I have worked with diverse students across a variety of SpEd settings. I have worked well with students that have Autism, ADHD, specific learning disabilities, Oppositional Defiance Disorder, speech disorders, as well as those who may just need a little extra help to understand a difficult concept or extra guidance and practice to strengthen a skill. I love to get to know people and develop helpful relationships with students and parents. I like to scaffold and chunk challenging tasks to help my students experience small wins to build behavioral momentum and motivation as well as to make concepts simpler to understand and connect to each other.
