About Caitlyn

Hi all, My name is Caitlyn, and I'm a former high school English teacher. I taught in public and private schools for over a decade before deciding I wanted a break from the traditional educational year. I've never lost my love for helping students understand, read, and communicate better. That's always been the best part of teaching! I taught mostly English but my last two years, I taught a Study Skills class which helped students work on executive functioning skills, asking for help, and academic stamina. Most teachers would love to provided one-on-one support for students but they just don't have the time, that's where I can step in to support their teaching and your student's learning. In my spare time, I like to watch movies (AMC A-Lister), read books, listen to podcasts, volunteer at a food bank, petsit, light hiking. One thing you should know about me is that I will absolutely not do the work for your student. I will help them help themselves.
