This past year I worked for a non profit in Denver, Colorado as a Registered Behavior Technician for children with ASD aged 3-7 in their intensive Early Intervention program. There were 6 individuals that I provided 1:1 therapy for on a daily basis, working with children both verbal and nonverbal. Through the use of Applied Behavior Analysis and the practice of naturalistic teaching I worked to identify the individual strengths and needs of each student across all developmental areas. I completed daily data collection and executed individualized behavioral plans, including the development of individualized goals for case management. I practiced communication through PECS, ASL, AAC device and single letter sounds and observed in both physical therapy and speech pathology sessions.
