About Bridget

I am a certified librarian (MLIS) and former college English instructor (MA & BA, Literature, Certificate in Publishing). In my last role, I was a public technology assistant in a large urban public library for 8 years. I have edited 2 published works. I enjoy empowering others through encouragement and skill. I'd describe my personality as calm, curious, and happy. I like tutoring because it is personally rewarding to see individuals improve and gain confidence. I'm looking for a job that pulls from my experience and skill for one's academic development. Then, the success is the student's to celebrate. I started tutoring when I was transitioning from publishing to librarianship. In my spare time, I like to read with my husband and watch dogs in the park. One thing you should know about me is I teach academic content + information literacy + digital literacy. My skills include research, writing, and editing.
