Hey! I am Brian E. My early career in caregiving started in assisting special needs in high school. I helped with homework and also taught lifestyle skills. This is where I learned patience and how to connect with my clients. Senior year, I worked in the recreational department at a nursing home in Hopkinsville. There I learned how to transport my clients correctly and learned how to deal with diverse situations that may happen while on the road. On the Job I fed the adults, changed their diapers, talked to them, and made sure they felt okay. Spending time with clients and taking them on trips was my favorite part about it. For the past 5 years I've attended Camp Marc, a week long camp held in Brandon, Springs for special needs older adults(18+). My job is to tend to my clients; I feed, bathe/shower, dress (day & night), give medicine, do activities and send to bed.
