I began volunteering in a summer camp for children and adults with special needs, when I was 14 years old. I fell in love with working 1:1 with campers of all ages and abilities, and I have returned every summer since. In addition to my experiences at camp, I have volunteered and worked as a recreational Aid, and worked as a Personal Care Assistant under Cerebral Palsy of Massachusetts. I love building relationships with the individuals I work with and discovering who they are as individuals--aside from any diagnoses they may have.
