About Brenda

I am academically inclined and am always encouraging learning new skills. But I also love taking breaks and following their lead to foster creativity (my nephews favorite game was playing superhero spies). I loved science experiments growing up and always look for ways to inspire interest in learning. I have small dogs who are very social and cuddly but are also trained to follow commands. I used to be a nursing assistant before I started a masters program in public health at USC, so I have experience in caregiving with a current CPR/BLS card. Non-smoker and I have my own car! I started working with kids when I was in high school and for a couple of years in college to help with some of my expenses while in school. In my spare time, I like to go to Pilates, work on data analysis and cook! I love trying out new recipes. One thing you should know about me is I lean towards Montessori methods because I believe children should be allowed to express and cultivate their own interests.
