Meet Brenda

Being a senior caregiver is a heartwarming and rewarding experience for each of us involved, from building our relationship on trust and dependability to sharing the joys and sorrows of life changing events.

After graduation from high school, I went on to Moorpark College, Bryman Nursing School and Peninsula College.

I graduated Bryman with honors and worked with doctors as a medical asst. before joining a nursing staff in convalescent care. My education and professional training as a nurse assistant included; using health equipment and supplies needed for patient care, proper positioning to protect from bedsores and numbness, how to dress, feed, and bathe comfortably as well as how to observe and assess needs and quickly manage care with my cool, calm demeanor.

I have vast experience working with people recovering from a stroke, have Diabetes, Alzheimer's/Dementia or Parkinson's which has developed my skills and has given me a personal passion to help meet some of our seniors physical, emotional and social needs so that they can remain in the comfort of their own home as they age.

Listening to the life stories my clients enjoy telling me, and sharing in the good memories they have is a delight!

It also helps me to better get acquainted with their interests and encourage them to continue in the lifestyle they are accustomed to.

We build a close, lasting friendship that strengthens us to endure hardships that aging might bring our way. I am an athletic and energetic woman that enjoys outdoor activities, so when appropriate I enjoy taking my clients outside to keep them interacting with others and experience the world around them which helps to stimulate their mind.

I fully understand that people who have lived a full life but are now limited in what they can do on their own, need someone willing to take them out for walks or drives, understanding their emotional and mental needs along with their physical needs.

It is a pleasure to see them happy, and laughing with them, and seeing their enjoyment as we share in the simple pleasures of daily life.

This is an endearing bond of friendship that lasts a lifetime.
