My background includes early childhood education, Spanish tutoring, kindergarten teaching, and hands-on childcare. Blanca is a baby miracle worker! I only wish she could travel with us when we head back east for a few months in early August! My husband and I had a baby end of May and we were really struggling with the transition to parenthood. Blanca has been supporting us and she has made a huge difference in our quality of life, and quality of parenting! She has primarily been a “night nurse”, staying with our little one overnight a few nights a week and managing feedings and any fussiness with loving attention. This way, I can get up to pump and go back to bed with my husband for quality sleep together. Blanca has also been filling in daytime when available, which has been important as I start returning to work part time. We are very attentive parents and it was nerve-wracking the first time, having someone we didn’t know come into our home overnight and being in primary care position with our newborn. Blanca’s calm and nurturing nature immediately put us at ease and we finally got some good sleep! (She has also been a godsend with her advice on caring for newborns!) She has been with us a little over a month and is so prompt and dependable. I really couldn’t imagine having gotten through this time without her. If you are lucky enough to get some of her time, I recommend you grab it and hold on! She’s a true treasure!
