About Birka

I'd describe my personality as patient, caring, and adaptable. I like working with kids because I enjoy their little personalities, curiosity, helping them explore their world, helping them grow, introducing new things, like cooking and baking, and watching them growing into their own. I'm looking for a job that is consistent, offers the hours I can work, a friendly work environment, good communication, and extra income. I have over 10+ years of taking care of babies and children, ranging in ages from 3 months to 12 years. I have over 15+ years of experience in working with children and young adults with autism. In addition I have been a substitute teacher for the last 5 years, working with K-5 and highschool students. I also have been tutoring German and elementary age children for 5+ years. My skills include patience and emotional regulation, time management, and adaptability in changing situations.
