About Beverly

I am a soon to be 21-year-old, senior nursing student at UWM. I have been a babysitter since around the age of 15, starting in high school up to current day. Before applying to this site, I have continued to care for children, looking after my neighbor's 9-year-old son. I am looking to expand my work to other families, now that I have more free time and a lighter class load. I lived over seas in Switzerland for three years in high school and began caring for the other expatriate children in our apartment building. Over the years, I have had experience with infants of a few weeks old up to ages 10 and 11. I am CPR certified which I renew yearly for my Nursing major. My skills in care giving in general, thanks to my nursing training, have also helped to further prepare me in caring for children specifically. I have also taken many child centered classes such as Growth and Development and Women and Children, but have also had hands on experiences working with children in our local Milwaukee boys' and girls' club. I also spent this last spring semester doing clinical work at a local hospital.
