About Belen

Belen has been an invaluable part of our household for the past four years as nanny to our 4-year-old and 2-year-old daughters. She is like an extended family member at this point, and we couldn’t be more grateful. We always joke that Belen was our "Mary Poppins". She just seems to understand how kids think, and instinctively knows how to interact with them in ways they not only understand, but enjoy--to this day the girls literally cheer when they hear she's coming over. It's one of those things that, in our experience, can't be taught. Her creativity is another standout in our opinion, and she teaches it to the little ones: No toys? No problem, let's make a neighborhood out of cardboard boxes! Something's broken? Let's find fifteen different new ways to use it! Kids fighting naptime? Just wait til they try the Nap Train xD And she extends that creativity to teaching as well, which I think is one of the reasons our girls love learning. She is dependable, incredibly kind, and one of the most genuine people you'll ever meet--which gave us so much peace of mind when having to trust someone else with our girls. She is also super observant, always paying attention to the little nuances of their personalities, and so patient when working with them both...even on their tougher days lol. Whether Belen continues her pursuits in education or returns to nannying, you would be hard-pressed to find anyone more capable or more devoted to your children. We recommend her wholeheartedly and without any reservations—she is a rare find, and someone who has very much found her calling.
