Since the age of 8, I have been passionate about caring for small children. As the second oldest of five children, my caregiving skills started by supervising my younger siblings. By the age of 10, I was accepting baby-sitting opportunities during the evenings. Within the past 10 years, I have gained experience with children through numerous babysitting, nannying for two separate families, and working in a childcare facility on my university's campus while achieving a bachelor's degree in Family Science and Early Childhood. I have a special place in my heart for caring for infants, however my experience ranges up to school-age children as well. Through these job opportunities, I have been successful in attending to the physical, emotional, and developmental needs of these children while creating a nurturing environment. Shaylee is an AMAZING find as a Nanny or Sitter. She has been with us for over a year, from when our daughter was just 4 months old until she was 18 months, and we couldn't have asked for better care. She won our trust completely with her compassionate and patient approach, so much so that she's become our go-to person for date nights and anytime we need an extra hand. What really stood out was how Shaylee handled all the different phases of development our daughter went through. Even during those tough periods of separation anxiety that come with toddlerhood, she navigated everything with such ease and always put us at ease knowing our daughter was in the best hands. Shaylee is incredibly thoughtful about planning creative and fun activities that helped our daughter blossom. The two of them have truly built a special bond that's so heartwarming to watch.
