Hello! I'm Bec, a Seattleite turned Chicagoan turned New Yorker. I've been working with kids since I was one myself, babysitting, nannying, and teaching swim lessons. In college my trajectory changed when I began working with a theatre group that created sensory immersive productions for children with autism and other developmental disabilities. As an ensemble member, I taught drama workshops in special education classrooms and provided one-on-one support to audience members during shows. I loved it so much that after graduating, I moved to New York to continue that work with a very similar company! Between teaching and rehearsals, I have nannied for a slew of kids, including care for children with autism, epilepsy, severe anxiety, and ADHD. I'm big on learning through play, trying new things, celebrating successes, and providing a loving and consistent environment for my kids to (in the words of Ms. Frizzle) "take chances, make mistakes, get messy!"
