Hello! My name is Cynthia. I have 20 years of experience in healthcare. I began working in polysomnography, sleep studies, for 10 years performing diagnostic and therapeutic testing on patients. I then worked in our local hospital as a nurse assistant. This assignment gave me an opportunity to become familiar with each specialty. I can manage trauma related problems, wound care and mental health issues. I also gained experience with dementia patients, stroke, cancer and brain injuries, orthopedic and cardiac patients. I also worked with a cardiac nurse from our hospital on a referral basis to do some private duty home care work. In caring for those patients I would do cooking, light housework, errands, bathing, transferring, physical therapy exercises, wound care, vitals and med checks. I have experience using various lifts and modes of transport for immobile patients as well as hospice care.
