Hi, my name is Barb and I have extensive experience as a personal/senior/hospice and special needs caregiver/companion, as well as a patient advocate. During the past 13 yrs as a caregiver for my mother, she relied on me for all personal care, including full management/administering of her medications. I have experience in transporting to/from and attending Drs appointments/procedures, taking notes and communicating all information from the patients care team to their family. I do have a wheelchair and walker available to make transportation simpler. I have been a Special-ed Para-pro at a local school district for 21 yrs. Going for rides, walks and seeking new adventures to see the scenery, get fresh air and enjoy life is something that I enjoy doing with loved ones entrusted in my care. Barb worked with my grandmother in her last few months of her life. She was so helpful and caring. My grandma would ask about her everyday. Having Barb care for my grandma and show her the love that she needed during the final months of her life was amazing. She was able to give/manage medication, communicate with doctors, perform hygiene tasks (sponge baths, changing, dressing, etc.). I would highly recommend Barb for your caregiving needs, you won’t regret it!
