When our loved ones get older or sick and need extra care, it's easy to get caught up in all the paperwork, doctor appointments, medications etc and forget or be too exhausted to just love them and enjoy the time we have with them. I have been a private duty caregiver for almost 10yrs, working with seniors of different abilities. I helped my father care for my mother when she was battling Louis Body Dementia. Taking care of my own mom after being a caregiver, gave me a whole different perspective. Helping me grow as a daughter and caregiver. Each of my clients has impacted my life in some way, all hold a special place in my heart. I have a passion for supporting dementia clients through their journey. Keeping them home where it's most familiar, finding meaningful activities to do with them, keeping them safe while maintaining their dignity and just being there so they are not scared or alone.
