About Barbara

I'm a retired math teacher with six years of nannying experience. My husband and I have three grown boys. With our boys, we were always outside hiking, biking, playing games. We spent time at the library, reading and talking about the wonderful books we were reading, doing art and craft projects. I play the piano and garden and would happily help a child plant and nurture a little garden. Cooking with kids is another passion which I would enjoy doing. I'm happy to shoot baskets, twirl the rope for jumpers, pitch for a new batter, lovingly care for an infant, and keep an active toddler happy and safe. I have lengthy and ongoing experience caring for newborns, infants and toddlers. I also have extensive tutoring experience. I have successfully worked with struggling and/or disengaged students. As a teacher, I taught special ed students with varying degrees and types of needs. Helping such students make connections to math is my specialty. My hourly rate for tutoring is $65 per hour.
