In high school I volunteered at the local YMCA in the child care center. We were required to help out the main workers in the day care center as well as play with the children. I also worked for Morehead Planetarium in the Science center with the after-school program, MAP, for about 3 years. At this job I was required to pick children up from their elementary schools (from kindergarten- 5th grade) and bring them back to the planetarium using public transportation. Once there I was required to watch the children while we perform our day to day activities. We also help the children with their homework when needed. Additionally, I worked at the planetarium with their middle school science club on the weekends.
