About Avery

Hi parents! My name is Avery and I am a senior at Purdue University. I am majoring in psychology and planning to attend a masters program in social work next year. I am incredibly passionate about mental health, art, writing, and social change. My hobbies include exercising, skiing, traveling, cooking, and trying new coffee shops:) As for experience with children, I have worked the past two summers at Summer Treatment Programs (intensive behavioral interventions for children with ADHD, autism, and related behavioral struggles). I am CPR & First Aid trained and I have my Crisis Intervention Certification. I have worked one-on-one with elementary-aged children, coaching them in social skills and emotion regulation in a clinical setting. I am enrolled part-time starting on January 12th for my last semester and am looking for a part-time babysitting job in the evenings!!
