Hi! I have over 25 years of experience with infants, toddlers, pre-teens, and young adults. My background is Administration in Higher Education for 15. 5 years. I also served as a Alexandria City Crossing Guard for 3 years for The Alexandria City Public School system. I can help with Light Housekeeping and Swimming Supervision if needed. I enjoy all ages of children! I am very passionate about children's safety, and their education. Speaking of safety, I am fully vaccinated and can show proof if necessary. As a mother, and grandmother I'd rather be doing what I love the most which is helping, and caring for children!

Ava is faithful, punctual, joyful and trustworthy with our daughter. She has served countless nights helping my daughter sleep as a newborn. She has been such a blessing to me and my family…as a sleep-deprived, working mom. I will continue to hire her for care. Highly recommend! 

My family could not be happier with Ava as our babysitter. 

My 2 kids are a 9.5 year old boy and a 5 year old girl, with very different personalities and interests. Yet, they both look forward to having Ava come over. (That hasn't been true with past babysitters!) 

As a mom, I feel confident walking out the door that everything will be handled well. Ava is professional and personable. She sees what needs to be done and does it, which is refreshing. Ava genuinely enjoys what she does and it shows. I highly recommend her. 


Ava is an incredibly kind, knowledgeable, and experienced caregiver and a joy to be around!! As a first-time Mom, I was very nervous to go back to work and leave my little 3-month old baby, but Ava eased that stress and made it feel like we had known her for forever from day one. My husband and I feel  grateful to know her as a person and blessed to have her as part of our family caring for our now 9-month old son. Ava treats our baby with immense respect and love, in the way that she cares for him, speaks with him, and considers his preferences during throughout the day. She truly has a gift! Ava is also possibly the most punctual person I have ever met, her professionalism is unmatched. We would hire her a thousand times over without hesitation! 

Ava was a life saver when I had to go back to work early. She came several days a week to care for my 3 month-old and was so great with her. She talked with her, read her stories, played games, and kept her company. Knowing my daughter was in such good hands was what I needed to focus on my job. Ava also watched all three of my children one weekend evening and was able to connect with the older ones really quickly. I'm so glad we met and we'll be using Ave in the future! 

I’m so incredibly happy and grateful to have met Ava! She has been so great with our little girl and has been a true saint. I’m a first time mom and have a fair amount of anxiety 😅 Ava is so unbelievably understanding and patient and our baby girl adores seeing Ava. I trust her with our child and it’s so nice to have someone you can trust if you are not  necessarily lucky enough to have a village. I look forward to continuing to work with Ava as long as she’ll be willing and available for our family. She’s the best! I can’t say enough good things, she’s really wonderful and so caring.

I can't say enough great things about Ava! She arrived early. She was both professional and caring with my 11 month old. I had every confidence leaving him with her. I'm so happy to have found a sitter I can trust.

Ava did an amazing job on last minute notice with my infant son. Patient, warm and kind- he took right to her. My mom, a retired nurse, was at my house during Ava’s care, and was very happy with her work!

Ava was fantastic taking care of my 2 cats!  She checked on, fed, watered, and cleaned their litter boxes at least once a day, often twice a day!  She did such a great job I’m asking her to take of them again soon for my next trip!  

Ava is an amazing nanny. My daughter is on the spectrum & Ava is patient, kind & goes above and beyond to take care of her. She’s also super clean, organized & helps clean up non-stop after my two-year-old. I highly recommend her! 

Ava is an amazing caregiver to my daughter. My daughter is so excited to see Ava in the morning and I am so relieved leaving my house knowing how well cared for she is! Ava keeps her busy with parks, crafts, books, and conversation! 

Ms. Ava is absolutely excellent! She has a calm, patient energy with our 4 and 1 year olds and they love her. She is wonderful and coming up with imaginative and engaging games and activities to do with the kids. We trust her completely and really enjoy her!

As a single mom - finding a babysitter for date nights was not easy.  But then I met Ava.  Ava is just the right fit for any daycare needs! She is incredibly personable, friendly and super attentive.  She takes the time to get to know your standards and what you are looking for when it comes to your childcare needs.  She always shows up on time and communicates well/fast.  She has watched my son on numerous occasions. She shows a genuine interest in making my son comfortable and plays with him throughout the babysitting experience.   He adores her and tells me that she is super nice.  I would highly recommend!

Ava was awesome working with our 1 yr old daughter. Our daughter took to Ava's easy going nature immediately and they loved being outside together. Ava was always punctual and a quick communicator, very flexible with our dynamic needs each week. We would hire Ava back in a second!

We highly recommend Ava! She watched my 3 and 5-year-olds for two weeks at the end of summer while both girls were adjusting to being home (as well as adjusting back to our time zone). Ava could not have made that adjustment easier. She took them to the splash pad just about every day, brought arts and crafts that the girls loved, and overall provided very nurturing care. We would absolutely hire Ava again, she's just fantastic!

Ava is absolutely wonderful! We were a bit hesitant with trying to find a babysitter for our 15 month old daughter A but we are so incredibly pleased and thankful that we found Ava to fill that first babysitter spot! Ava is on time, easy to communicate with and A. lights up when she sees Mrs. Ava pull up to our home! She plays inside and outside with A. and while playing she finds all sorts of teachable moments which is so great! And Ava definitely gets bonus points for being awesome with our 18 year old Maltipoo Lilly-definitely our other "child" these days! Ha ha We are so grateful for Ava and are looking forward to having her help out more and more as A. keeps growing up!
