About Ava

I like working with kids because I have a younger brother and he is my whole entire world. He is 4 years old and was diagnosed with Autism 3 years ago. He is non verbal and needs tentative attention. Me and my mom have worked heavily with him these past three years, as well as showing him unconditional love, which has led to him starting to speak. I realized how much I love helping and teaching younger humans when it came to doing it for him. I started working with kids when I was very young. I went to catholic school my whole life and I was apart of the kids bible study. I started teaching there when I was about 13 and then did side jobs of babysitting in my neighborhood/ school community for about two years. For the past 4 years I have been a full time caretaker for my brother. My skills include taking care of more aggressive/tempered children, patience with tantrums or attitudes, being able to calm a child down and or finding an equilibrium to a rough situation.
