About Austin

Hi I'm Austin! I have worked with kids for 17 years. I started at age 17 as a camp counselor. Then I received a BA in Psychology in 2013. Since then, I have been a Developmental Therapist for several behavioral therapy clinics working with children with Special Needs. Employing ABA, RDI, parent training and counseling techniques, I have supported over 200 neurodivergent children and their families. I have also been a Preschool Teacher, School SPED Aide, and soccer coach. I am 90% fluent in Spanish as a result of teaching English in Mexico and Spain. In 6 years on Care, I've also been a babysitter, nanny, tutor, mentor, music teacher (ukulele, vocals), and private ABA/family therapist for over 25 kiddos age 1-17, and a few special needs adults. Since Nov, I've been a Case Manager for Assure Behavioral Services. I do ABA, parent education, and case development for 5 clients age 4-20. I'm in my 2nd year of Grad school to become a Licensed Marriage & Family Therapist.

Highly recommend! Austin has been working with my 4 yr old son for several months. We have struggled to find consistent babysitters in the past and it has been a joy to find someone so knowledgeable, kind, and reliable. Most importantly, my son looks forward to his visits. While my child is not on the spectrum, I have been able to learn from Austin's behavioral therapy experience. I often struggle with how to handle extreme tantrums and he has been able to work with us on emotional regulation techniques.
