About Austin

Hi I'm Austin! I have worked with children for 17 years. I went to UCLA, where I did an Autism Internship and graduated with a BA in Psychology. I currently work as a DSP in a crisis home with adult individuals with ID, schizophrenia, bipolar, and autism. I have also worked with families and their adult or teenage children in their home doing SLS, S. determination, Direct ABA Care, Parent Training and Case Management have worked at clinics and for families directly, and supported over 100 neurodivergent children. I am currently an RBT. I have also been a Preschool Teacher and SPED Aide. I am fluent in Spanish as a result of teaching English in Mexico City. In 5 years on Care, I've been a child and family support coach for over 20 families, a tutor as well for about 10 of those families and 10 others with kids Kinder-college age, sports coach, and mentor. I am currently enrolled in Graduate school, beginning inJanuary to become a BCBA with a Masters in Special Education and ABA.

Highly recommend! Austin has been working with my 4 yr old son for several months. We have struggled to find consistent babysitters in the past and it has been a joy to find someone so knowledgeable, kind, and reliable. Most importantly, my son looks forward to his visits. While my child is not on the spectrum, I have been able to learn from Austin's behavioral therapy experience. I often struggle with how to handle extreme tantrums and he has been able to work with us on emotional regulation techniques.
