About Augusta

I grew up with a paintbrush in one hand and a bug jar in the other, and that's pretty much still true. As a recent Sarah Lawrence graduate steeped in art and culture, I'd love to share that curiosity with kids - turning a rainy afternoon into an art studio on the kitchen table, or a walk to the bodega into a scavenger hunt through history and nature. I believe kids learn best outside, hands dirty, following whatever's caught their attention - a beetle on the sidewalk, a cloud shaped like a dragon, the story behind a statue in the park. I've babysat for family and friends for years, bringing genuine curiosity rather than a checklist of activities. I am CPR and First Aid certified, so safety's never an afterthought, but I leave room for spontaneity - fort-building, bedtime, and everything between. I show up present and invested, because the best part of this work is watching a kid's face when they've made or discovered something new.
