I started caring for the elderly when I was 16, spent 3 years at the nursing facility in broken arrow. went on to nursing school. worked in ICU and ER, traveling nurse also. a friend called me to ask if I would take care of a friend's mother. from there people would call me. took care of clients from a few months to 5 years. taking care of my ex husband since his stroke. couple days a week. I can work weekends. Overnights. I have done Friday to Sunday straight hours every other weekend to cover for a caregiver family member. Which was when I began working privately. We are very close today. Recommendations from that point on. I was with her for 4-5 years. I've retired from nursing 20 years ago.
