About Asreen

I have been working with kids for about four years, and hope to continue for the rest of my life. What some folks don't understand is that children's minds are like sponges, and you can fill and fill with knowledge, and it will continue to load up. I love being around kids because they are so positive and loving and curious about everything that goes on in this world. Teaching children is a passion of mine, and I intend to teach them whatever I know, and continue to learn along the way. It is importance to start young and teach them the importance of anti-racist work, and to protect those around them. And share my experiences as a trans person of color, and how I exist and hold space. Community care is huge for me, and shaping that concept at a young age is beautiful, necessary and important. I've taught young kids about community organizing and care in an easily digestible way previously, and it is a mutually beneficial relationship.
