About Ashley

I'd describe my personality as positive, ambitious and dependable. I would like to tutor because I love seeing improvement over time. I have utilized a tutor before (organic chem) and it was invaluable. I want to give back and help someone like my tutor helped me. I have not officially tutored before, but I used to tutor my sister (who has Down syndrome) before I left for college. I also coached young girls in lacrosse for the last 4 years (ages 10-16) so I have experience in mentoring and leadership. In my spare time, I like to paint, draw, read and play lacrosse. I am a member of the women's lacrosse team at UVA. One thing you should know about me is I'm very adaptable and creative. I have ADHD and have many tips and tricks that have helped me succeed in the classroom. I'm a Biology major and German minor at UVA and will be graduating this spring. I participate in brain cancer research with UVAs medical school, and Im in the process of applying to post-bacc research programs.
