Hi! I was a long term care nursing assistant for many years. I provided all activities of daily living, rehab, and end of life care. I moved on to private care, for a husband & wife in their home for 3 yrs. After, I went to work at Union Hospital on the PEDS and labor & delivery units for 3 years. I assisted doctors with deliveries, helped care for mothers & infants after birth, performed newborn testing, and cared for NAS babies. I received training in breastfeeding and I myself, fed my 2 boys for a total of 4 yrs. I wanted to spend more time with my youngest son before he started school, so I opened my own in-home daycare. I ran this daycare for 2. 5 yrs before my son entered school where I cared for children aged 2 months- 12 yrs. I have taken child development courses as required by the state to receive my daycare license, I am a certified in: mental health first aid provider, CPR & first aid for all ages, and in the MD 6 hr. medication administration.
