ASHLEY S was assigned to my mom as her hospice CNA for 4 years. We first met her when she filled in one day for the assigned CNA who was absent. We were so impressed that we called the agency immediately following her visit requesting that she be our CNA team member. I have never been more impressed. My mom adopted her as a grandchild. She did the hard jobs of toileting, cleaning and bathing, and lifting in such a way that my mother’s dignity was preserved. She’d make sure she’d had meals, meds, and all that goes with expert care. She loved mom and every day was a good day when she came. If there was anything out of the ordinary, she’d let the RN know asap. She’d tease mom playfully and mom was always in high spirits when Ashley left our home. We were mightily blessed to have her to care for mom.
