I CURRENTLY WOULD NEVER REFER ASHLEY TO ANYONE. I RATE HER A ZERO. As a parent, I payed Ashley funds of $1000.00/monthly for 3 days/week. Any hour after that was $20.00. She originally, per her contract, said $250/week, which is Monday through Friday. She then said when my child became a toddler, she said it would be much cheaper than $1,000.00. She said that it took more work to take care of a newborn. I paid it because I love my child beyond infinity. Her services became sloppy and careless over time, but I kept being positive towards her, hoping she would change. I still tried to grant her grace, but at the same time, I wanted the best treatment & care for my child. I always released my child to Ashley very neat and she returned my child back to me on 3 occasions with no shoes nor socks on and rushed him to me with the shoes & socks in her hand through the door. She would then say, "Have a nice day." She would then abruptly close the door, leaving absolutely no room for me to ask not even 1 question. She seemed irritated if I tried. Any parent would find it quite disturbing to pay $1000.00 & can't ask questions to a babysitter???? She initially addressed my concerns in the beginning when I met her, but recently began to get seriously offended if I, as the parent, had any questions regarding the care she provided. She would immediately take offense. Despite her attitude, I proceeded to ask questions of concern because that is my child, not hers. I tried to grant her grace, but at the same time, it was disrespectful to answer me vaguely almost each time I asked specifically what he ate. As a parent, I have that right, especially paying her like I did. I even paid her always in advance and continued to be nice to her, hoping she would change. I still remained positive, trying to act as if nothing was wrong, but was moving in silence so that I could eventually terminate my services with Ashley. She returned my child to me on 2 occasions with my child's pants turned backwards (with front pockets in the back when they clearly were meant for the front.) She only presented photos of my child eating little tiny snacks as opposed to at least 1 full balanced meal that I paid her to prepare for him. She would reply, after I clearly ask on different occasions what exactly did my child eat, "Your child ate good". As a parent, that wasn't enough. My child began to show signs of being uncomfortable. If my child is uncomfortable, then I am, as well and I will be my child's voice no matter what. I abruptly stopped my child from her services and got someone else who I could trust. Ashley kept the funds that I paid in advance. When I addressed the serious concern I had, Ashley disregarded my concern and abruptly discontinued the call. How rude. I had been with Ashley for about 2 1/2 years, trying my best to grant her grace, but enough was enough. She took me for granted. She gave me the impression that she thought I couldn't find anyone else, so she felt the need to treat me, her most consistent paying client as she stated, however she wanted. I definitely found other fantastic options. Ashley's attitude changed after I kindly presented Ashley with a 30 day notice to have her childcare services terminated. I gave her 30 days, per her contract, or I would have left sooner. I tried to maintain peace. She begged me to allow my child to stay until about 2 more years. I respectfully declined. That is when Ashley began to be short with me and quite rude. I presented to Ashley a serious concern, but she disregarded it as if it was nothing. During the 30-day termination of service phase, she returned my child's belongings about 3 days after I initiated the 30 days. I told her to take back at least the 2 new outfits that I gave her just in case my child had an accident. She replied, "I already have plenty clothes here. I have to make room for the new kids coming." Ashley knew that I did not want my child in any other child's clothing, but she did it anyway. Very diarespectful. I demanded that she not place my child on any other person's clothes. The clothes she placed on him weren't even matching and weren't neat. I felt as if she was doing this on purpose because I rejected her begging me to continue to keep my child. Ashley should not show a passive aggressive tactic against the client that paid her well just because I decided that it was time to go. I didn't feel comfortable having Ashley keep my child any longer. I did request my child's belongings so that I would come get them to get permanent closure. As an insult tactic that didn't work, Ashley told me in a cowardly fashion, on a day that I already paid her for, to get my child's belongings from her mailbox because she may not be at home. That was clearly an avoidance tactic because she knew she'd already gotten paid her last payment, didn't care, & wasn't going to return any funds. I always paid her in advance. There were about 2 occasions where she had her daughter and her daughter's boyfriend present with her husband in the house when Ashley was gone from the house. Her daughter gave my child to me. I wasn't happy about that because I paid Ashley, not her daughter or boyfriend, but I remained silent and continued to pray that God give me an opportunity to find someone much better to take care of my child & not give me attitude when I wish to terminate services. It is my right. I do not regret being nice to Ashley, even on many occasions when she didn't deserve me to be nice to her. I wish Ashley well, but I CURRENTLY WOULD NOT RECOMMEND ASHLEY TO ANYONE.
