About Ashley

I recently moved back to Atlanta from the Dominican Republic where I was living and working as a Princeton in Latin America Fellow at the Mariposa DR Foundation, a nonprofit organization that provides education and educational support to young Dominican and Haitian girls living in extreme poverty. There, I wrote curriculum; taught classes in Spanish in subjects ranging from English, literature, sports, art, and math; and executed various administrative roles. I am currently living in Atlanta and applying to graduate school, specifically for a Master's in Education, with the ultimate goal of pursuing teaching full time. I have experience working with students as a coach (volleyball, surf, basketball, and running (Girls on the Run)) and as a teacher. I have accumulated skills in communication (in English and Spanish as well as thoughtfully crafting lesson plans to meet my students' individual needs), patience, and trauma-informed instruction.
