I answered call lights in less than 5 min. I have daily contacts with the Resident Care Coordinator, Registered Nurse, Med aide, and Executive Director. I read the daily communication log, new and updated service plans, and alert charting log. I attend all care needs of the residents assigned sections, either scheduled or as they arise. I check each resident at least once every meal hour or as needed. I set up tables for preparation for meals. I assist with serving meals by bringing residents into the dining room and taking orders. I serve drinks and food to the residents. I verbally cue residents requiring assistance. I assist with clean-up following meals. I pick up laundry from residents' apartments, rinse out soiled laundry, and dispose of dirty laundry in appropriate laundry barrel. I collect garbage from assigned apartments daily. I immediately remove incontinent supplies that are wet or soiled. I take trash to the dumpster as needed and at least one time per shift. Bathe and groom residents. I assist with resident activities as requested or assigned. I chart any unusual incident or information needing to be passed on to the Resident Care Coordinator, Registered Nurse or Med Aide on the Communication Log. I chart any medical information, doctor order changes, incidents, or concerns pertaining to those residents in your care. I report any changes in resident needs or conditions to Resident Care Coordinator. I report any tasks needing to be passed on or followed through to off-going and on-coming shifts. Report any emergencies to the person in charge; minor and non-emergency. changes reported to the Medication Aide. I immediately report family concerns expressed to the Resident Care Coordinator, Registered Nurse, or the Executive Director. I maintain knowledge of proper transfer techniques and body mechanics to transfer residents with appropriate assistance (gait belt, transfer board, Hoyer Lift, Camel). I perform housekeeping duties for common areas including, but not limited to, vacuuming, dusting, straightening up, wiping down tables and chairs, cleaning bathrooms, replacing paper towels and toilet tissue, cleaning activity room, and straightening up med room and utility. I also performed other tasks.
