About Ashleigh
Hi, my name is Ashleigh. I just recently completed a term of service with a program called City Year. In this program I was able to work with students in a public school setting to increase their grades. My specific students were at risk of failing or had already fail a course. Through this experience I gained familiarity with Pennsylvania's Common Core Standards and learned how to appropriately differentiate lessons for different learners and learning styles. While in college I had the privilege of traveling to Ghana and teaching my own classroom. I enjoyed it so much that in went back again the next year, for a total of 6 months. I have experience working with students ranging from kindergarten to freshmen year of high school (9th grade). Please feel free to reach out to me with any additional questions.
