I am looking to lend aide to that special companion with needs. I have 5 yrs. experience taking care of an elderly aunt with cancer and elderly uncle who had dementia. I helped them make that transition from a home to an assisted living facility. Because this was expensive I did all the care myself with the aid from my daughter on occasions. I did morning and evening feedings, showers, dressing change, medications, doctor appointments, financial aid, balanced expensive account, and banking. I laughed with them on good days and comforted them as we cried together on bad days. I wouldn't have missed this experience for the world. I have grown in many ways from those 2 people. They were my heart and are deeply missed. They have since passed and I'm looking to fill this void in my heart.
