About Annika

From my grandparents, to working for an independent living and then a nursing home, to now my aging parents (one with dementia and one legally blind) to name a few, I've spent a lot of time around elderly. They are truly precious and I love talking with them, assisting with ADLs, keeping them active mentally and physically (I love games/cards/walks/etc.), and learning from them. Life is short. I'm not looking for just a job, I left corporate behind. I believe my purpose is helping others, and the joy I get from doing just that with seniors is unmatched. I'm an Okie-Yankee, from Upstate NY. I love being outside and I love to travel. I'm a self-taught baker, canner, and love to cook as well. Friends and family are my life. Your loved one will have an instant best friend in me. Caring for your loved one isn't something I take lightly, I understand the worries that often keep adult children up at night, I understand this chapter of life is challenging. And I will earn your trust.
