About Annie

I am a grandmother who has been a full time nanny for 25 years, after working in various unrelated areas prior to switching careers. Four of the seven families I have worked with began with newborns and proceeded to preschool age. I was a nanny for 2 school-age children and substitute taught in their Montessori school. I babysit for local families when needed and continue to stay in touch with my Wilmington and Raleigh families. All of the children received loving care and quickly became part of my "family". I worked a full day performing everyday necessary childcare tasks as well as teaching, reading, playing and when needed, transporting to/from school. I have taken responsibility for children's laundry, always clean up after meal preparation, and keep play areas picked up. I just finished my first year of teaching preschool at my church, and although it was a major transition from nannying, it was a job I loved.
