I have been working with children ages 3 to 6 in an English and/or German speaking pre-k setting for over 25 years, and teach German to pre-k students in Austin since 2006. From Sep. '21-Dec.'24 I was the lead teacher of the German Intern. School pre-k class. For 7 years I have been employed in a public school district Special-education classroom, working with children of various ages and disabilities. I am 
CPR/First Aid certified, receive Development courses and other sources for infant- school age children. I work w/babies and older kids as a nanny/sitter/German teacher and enjoy being a part of their family. I also accompany them on trips to Europe or domestically. I am experienced in driving children to and from school as well as to after school activities.

We were so blessed to find Annette. I cannot thank her enough for her punctuality, flexibility, work ethic, courtesy, and decency. She stepped up when we needed it and we are so thankful. Annette is a rare find! She is extremely professional in her actions and appearance and her kind heart and warmth for children is exemplary. Annette was our nanny since Fall 2019 for my toddler son. She taught him so many positive emotional, communication, and physical lessons from signing please and more and thank you before he was verbal to teaching him how to confidently make his way downstairs unassisted. It was a strong bond and I know he misses her dearly. We made a tough decision to take leave from having childcare but can't wait to have her over again. In addition to Annette's impeccable nannying, she was such a pleasure to have in our home. I am a stay-at-home mom that hired Annette to give me the opportunity to run errands. I had PPA after my son was born, so leaving him with anyone was a struggle. However, I felt completely confident leaving my son with Annette and having such a competent caretaker helped me overcome my PPA. We can't recommend her enough!

I cannot recommend Annette highly enough. From day one she has been extremely professional, reliable, warm and engaging with my two children (4 and 1). Their faces light up every time she arrives at our house.  Not to mention, she has boundless amounts of energy, which has been great for my very active children. She uses tools from her teaching background to engage my 4 year old in various activities and always brings her own age appropriate toys for the kids to play with. And she is fluent in German which has been great for exposing my kids to a second language!

Annette is the absolute best! She's taken care of our kids (date nights, random days) off and on for months now. She is always punctual, comes ready with special toys, and a fantastic attitude. She follows requests wonderfully and is always engaged with the kids the entire time. I tend to be paranoid about safety, and Annette is super safe! I really can't recommend her enough.

She is the first babysitter I've hired. I was nervous in the beginning. But she is so good with kids and reliable. I would recommend her to all my friends!

We absolutely love Annette! She came in to help us when we had a gap in childcare coverage and was amazing to our two year old son. Every morning she came to our home with toys, games and books to entertain our little one. We call her "German Mary Poppins" as she truly is full of excitement and surprises for our son. She had always planned toys and activities they would do throughout the day. Annette was always on time and never hesitated to stay a few minutes later when needed. She even helped clean up after our son and left our home clean with laundry folded and dishes done! We will hire Annette again.

My kids love Annette!  Her exuberance for life is infectious and she plays full throttle with my boys!  They enjoy learning with her because she has engaging activities and she's an expert in pedagogy.

Annette worked in a life skills classroom with me for 2 years.  She was dedicated to the students' education and safety.  She worked with students from the ages of 5-9 and with varying levels of special education needs.  She was always enthusiastic and proactive.  She had a wonderful demeanor and added so much to the classroom.  She is punctual, dependable, and always seeking ways to help and be of service.  She is an amazing caregiver and would be an asset to any family.

Annette is extremely conscientious.  She is thorough and consistent.  She is also proper and follows the rules and is pleasant and kind to the children and adults.  I worked with her off and on for 5 years and I admire and respect her.

Annette is one of the most energetic, enthusiastic people I know. Children feel and respond to her good nature, her intelligence, and her easy and steady authority.  She is excellent and working with multiple ages and tailoring her approach to individual needs. I highly recommend Annette for child care and Lesson needs (especially German!)

Annette worked in my Special Education classroom working with medically fragile students with a variety of physical, communication, behavioral, and emotional needs. The care, love, and dedication Annette gave the children and her job were unparalleled. She is one of the most hardworking and capable teachers I have ever worked with, but it is her kindness and willingness to go above and beyond that make Annette a true gem. Because she has worked with a variety of abilities and ages, Annette can individualize instruction or care to the needs of the individual she is working with- we had elementary students who were wheelchair-bound, had a student who had daily seizures, students who needed varying assistance toileting/working towards independence in self-care, and students in Preschool Programs for Children with Disabilities (PPCD) with communication deficits. Any child would be lucky to be under the care and light Annette brings into the lives of those around her. 

Annette is a very compassionate and dedicated individual. She goes above and beyond for the students/children she works with. She is very in tune to their individual needs and finds the best way to provide care and instruction.
