I'd describe my personality as curious, compassionate, and versatile. I like tutoring because it is a forgiving, democratic, and illuminating method of learning which benefits both students and tutors. I'm looking for a job that encourages creativity in student engagement. The best students are intrinsically motivated to learn, even when the process is challenging and uncomfortable. I started tutoring when I was recommended to do so by professors and fellow tutors. I discovered that I am motivated and qualified to work across multiple disciplines, and that variety of work suits me. In my spare time, I like to cook, practice yoga, attend dance classes, and volunteer to assist low-income workers in our community. One thing you should know about me is that I believe we all have organic wisdom to share if we are willing to listen carefully and stay present. My skills include building rapport, connecting lessons to community resources, and fostering intuitive learning.
