About Anna

Hi I'm Anna! I am a creative and patient tutor with over 9 years of experience caring for children and 2 years of tutoring. I focus on assisting children with reading, writing, speech, and natural science projects. I have a special passion for working with homeschoolers and would love to be able to teach classes. My style is based on the child's interests and passions. I believe every child has a completely different mind, way of thinking, and learning style. I also believe that a person will learn best when they are enjoying themselves through being taught in a way that directly meets their interests and needs. I have an AA in Social science and the majority of my AA in Child Development. I communicate well with parents and I am willing to create portfolios to track students' progress over time. Having a strong and safe-feeling relationship with the kids is very important to me so I like to very clearly set expectations with the parents from the beginning.
