About Anissa

I've tutored several of my classmates in geometry, algebra, and calculus and helped them succeed. Additionally, in college, I was a tutor for mathematics. I would lead study groups with several students at a time. My job was to facilitate discussion between the students and ensure they understood the material. I have also tutored a 6th grade student and helped her navigate online learning. Whenever I am tutoring someone, I make sure that I am very patient and understanding. Learning a new concept can be difficult, so I want to make sure that the person I am tutoring is at ease and feels comfortable coming to me with any questions. I graduated from Cal Poly with a Liberal Studies degree and a concentration in mathematics. I taught third grade last year, and this year I will be teaching kindergarten. Throughout my undergraduate experience, I have had a lot of opportunities to work with students and support their learning.
