About Anissa

Hi! I'm Anissa! I'm an educator and tutor with over 10 years of experience helping students feel confident and capable in school. I graduated Summa Cum Laude with a Bachelor's Degree in Education and a minor in Math. After college, I spent 3 years teaching in the classroom, working with kindergarten, 3rd, and 4th grade students. Those years gave me a deep understanding of how students learn best and how to tailor lessons to meet individual needs. As a tutor, I've worked with students from elementary school through college, supporting them in subjects ranging from foundational math and reading to advanced calculus. I focus on creating a comfortable, encouraging environment where students can ask questions freely, build confidence, and take ownership of their learning. I believe that all students can succeed in school, sometimes they just need someone to explain it in a way that clicks. My goal is to make learning approachable and engaging, no matter where a student is starting from.
