Hello! I was born and raised in Houston, TX. In 2007, I moved to Austin to attend The University of Texas to pursue my Bachelor of Science in Human Development focusing on Early Childhood Development. During my years at UT, I worked at Austin Community College Children's Lab School in east Austin and had the opportunity to work with master preschool teachers and develop the young minds social emotionally. I graduated in 2012 and worked for the non-profit group AmeriCorps as a reading tutor helping young students grade Kinder-2nd. During that year, I found my passion for teaching and how important it is for children to have the skills to read. So, I attended an alternative teaching program through Region 13 and obtained my teaching license in 2013. I've been teaching in Austin ISD since 2013 and love every moment with my students! Outside the teaching world I enjoy Olympic weightlifting, hiking, and camping at different National Parks!
