About Anevay

I was a caregiver for a senior center for three years, and did in-house caregiving for one. I worked in the dementia clinic as a RN and in the assisted living clinic. What I loved the most was hearing all the stories everyone had to tell me, just being able to sit for a minute and talk to them was so incredibly rewarding. My duties at the facility included, bathing, meal preparation, medication preparation, light first aid, catheter changes, laundry (washing/folding, putting away), bed/brief changes, assistance with moving, changing, and of course cleaning. I have a lot of experience with working with people with dementia, in the unit I worked for I had to be very adept to assistance with confusion, and redirecting calmly when agitation/aggression occurred. Why I stopped working there was because I decided to start building my own horse training business, however as things are now looking for a second job was the best decision.
