About Selene

I have a background in childcare and a degree in Child and Family Studies from PSU. The past five years I have pivoted into senior care and found it very rewarding. I was the main caregiver and manager of a team of 6 caregivers for my late grandmother. She had advanced dementia and required 24/7 care. Her needs advanced over time to require full mobility aid, dressing/bathing, feeding, etc. I also managed her social calendar, appointments, and functioned as her personal shopper, meal planner, and chef. I am honored to say that she passed peacefully at home and I was with her throughout. The hospice nurses were very impressed with my organization, attention to detail, and the high standard of care. They encouraged me to continue in this field. I am also a certified Ayurvedic Digestive Health Coach; which means I work similarly to a nutritionist and herbalist. While this doesn't have to overlap with my caregiving, it is an option that some might like to take advantage of.
