About Andy

I have over 18 years of experience working with elementary school children in particular. For almost 10 years, I was a Teaching Assistant working with grades K-5, but mostly with 3rd-5th graders. I also worked for several years at Kumon, an after school study program to enhance math and reading skills and I currently work as a teacher for with TK-5th graders. I have a BA in English from UCLA and earned a Multiple Subject Teaching Credential to teach elementary school from CalState Northridge. Most importantly, I honestly enjoy working with children and helping them learn. I am extremely patient, and although I am focused on ensuring that they succeed, I also work to make the process enjoyable for them so that they have the motivation and confidence to continue learning on their own.
