About Andrea

Attended nursing school and worked as a CNA in my younger years. I'm very familiar with the ups and downs of dementia and Alzheimer's and the emotional roller coaster it entails for not only the individual but also the family. I'm familiar with proper transfers to avoid injury to person and or self. I'm a care taker by nature and all my children are grown and on their own. My parents live next door and although they are both doing good, my mother has been dealing with issues so I also help with the day to day tasks to alleviate stresses on my father. I understand the medical needs and aspects Of this line of work but I also know that human interaction and companionship is sometimes more important if not almost always more important. Providing some sense of normalcy, compassion and empathy are important in maintaining one's mental health, and being able to stay in one's personal space and familiarity is an important role in one's longevity and quality of life.
