About Amy

I raised my own four children who are now adults while homeschooling them in different US states. I am a military veteran and currently professional artist as a resident painter at a local studio complex. When I was a homeschooling parent my curriculum was an eclectic and college bound program. I was also a scout leader for several years and service unit manager for Girl Scouts. Safety is the first priority but I'm not a strict disciplinarian. I enjoy reading and outdoor activities, As an artist I love hands-on craft projects and as a mother I can't help but tidy up as I'm caring for children. I am a non-smoker, I have my own vehicle, but I will have cat hair on me so if your child is allergic to cats take note. :) I'm comfortable with pets, I've had my own dogs in the past. I've had first aid and CPR training several times as a veteran and scout leader, if your child needs other medical care I am open to instruction.
